Each year, thousands of students participate in a Levine JCC Butterfly Project workshop. We invite the community to experience the same thing. The Levine JCC Butterfly Project uses the lessons of the Holocaust to teach what can happen when bias, prejudice and discrimination are allowed to flourish, and affords participants the opportunity to memorialize a child victim by painting a ceramic butterfly in his or her memory. Join us to hear the amazing stories of a local Holocaust survivor, learn about the curriculum, paint a ceramic butterfly and visit the awe-inspiring Margaret & Lou Schwartz Butterfly Garden Holocaust Memorial.
Registration required at the Levine JCC Customer Service Desk, 704-366-5007. Free to LJCC members; $5 fee for non-members.
