In honor of Jewish American Heritage Month, please join us for a book and author event featuring Leonard Rogoff, author of Gertrude Weil: Jewish Progressive in the New South.

Gertrude Weil —a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina—stood courageously at the forefront of a wide range of progressive and often controversial causes including women’s suffrage, labor reform and civil rights.  As a Zionist, Weil also was the founding member of Goldsboro’s Hadassah chapter.
