Hadassah members are welcome to join. Held on most 3rd Fridays of each month. We will be reading short stories based on women in the Bible. AFTER ABEL and OTHER SHORT STORIES, by Michal Lemberger, will be used. The author attempts to give voices to women who, while mentioned in the Bible, are not named and get few verses in the text. The stories address questions, such as, what are the women's stories, how would they think and what would they say if we gave them a chance to speak? For this Friday's session, we will read and discuss the short story, "Drawn from the Water", in AFTER ABEL. The book is in the Levine-Sklut JCC library or you can purchase it for less than $10 (thru Amazon) Bring a friend, also please join us even if you haven't read the story. The group is welcoming and the conversations are interesting.
