Christoph Rückel, Ph.D., a German attorney with offices in Munich and Dusseldorf, Germany, and Atlanta, has accomplished the seemingly impossible. He and a team of German prosecutors are winning convictions and prison sentences in German courts against Nazi criminals in their 90s as accessories to the murder of hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews in Auschwitz.

“There is no statute of limitations on murder in Germany,” said Rückel. “The Nuremberg trials were about the Holocaust and crimes against humanity during war. But the killing of Jews was anti-Semitism and independent of war.”
