The Spring Lecture is the signature event of the Jewish Federation of Greater Charlotte’s women’s philanthropy. Best known as our community’s most popular “ladies’ night out”, the Spring Lecture attracts over 400 women of all ages for an inspirational evening. Co-chaired by Mallory Miller and Sara Kulbersh, this year’s Spring Lecture promises to be filled with humor, heart and neshama (soul)!
The 2015 Spring Lecture will feature Actress, activist, and New York Times Bestselling author Annabelle Gurwitch. Annabelle gained a loyal comedic following during her numerous years co-hosting the cult favorite, Dinner & a Movie on TBS and in her years as a regular commentator on NPR. Her work has been called, “hilarious” by The Washington Post, “laugh out loud” by People and “slyly subversive” by O Magazine.
Her most recent book is “I See You Made An Effort: Compliments, Indignities and Survival Stories from the Edge of 50”, was named one of Kirkus Reviews’ “10 Books Guaranteed to Make You Laugh.”
The evening includes a strolling dinner, lecture and dessert reception. Spring Lecture tickets are $54 for the Dinner and Lecture, or $36 for the Lecture Only. All guests are asked to make a minimum donation of $50 to the 2015 Jewish Federation Annual Campaign to attend the event.
